Exceptionally, applicants with degrees in other disciplines may be accepted, after consulting the graduate committee. The consideration of the equivalences of foreign academic degrees will be based on the International Classification of Education (ISCED), created by UNESCO, which is in force on the date of application. In addition, five features are sought that define the profile of the subjects that incorporate the set of desirable competencies that allow the achievement of the declared objectives or goals of the Program: Person with high and up-to-date knowledge in their area of specialization; able to link their work with issues and problems of the arts and culture, have skills in critical academic writing in the Spanish language, have experience in the development and management of research projects, as well as in the dissemination of their results, and have fluent reading comprehension in English.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"postulante\">\n<h6>Graduate profile<\/h6>\n<p>The graduate of the UC Doctorate of Arts must be a researcher who:<\/p>\n<p>It generates, in an autonomous way, significant new knowledge for the disciplinary field in which it operates, either from theory or artistic theory and practice.<br \/>\nApply and build up-to-date theoretical models on the main debates in their discipline.<br \/>\nDiscern which theoretical model, technique or artistic procedure to use according to the nature of its object of study.<br \/>\nIt integrates research teams, as well as national and international research networks in the field of the arts.<br \/>\nHe elaborates and puts into action various discursive genres and \/ or artistic procedures for the dissemination of the results of his research.<br \/>\nEvaluates and acts in accordance with the ethical principles and values of research and creation in the arts.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"investigacion\">\n<h6>Lines of
