{"id":2281,"date":"2020-01-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2021-12-09T18:17:56","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T18:17:56","slug":"60893586815c1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consejoderectores.cl\/en\/2020\/01\/21\/60893586815c1\/","title":{"rendered":"Council of Rectors refines details for the second application of the University Selection Tests"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote style=\"text-align: left;\"><p>The executive vice president of CRUCH, rector Aldo Valle stated that he hopes that the applicants authorized to surrender the PSU on January 27 and 28 can render them in calm conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The university authority announced that the rectors will evaluate the development of this process on January 29.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cWe hope that most of those summoned will be able to take them,\u201d said the executive vice president of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH), Rector Aldo Valle, regarding the application of the University Selection Tests (PSU), which will have a second application on Monday, January 27 and Tuesday, January 28.<\/p>\n<p>This, after the application of the evaluations in 147 application locations was suspended on January 6 and 7, due to incidents in those areas, a measure that was addressed by the plenary session of the Council of Rectors in its extraordinary session No. 2, held at the Hotel Diego de Almagro in Santiago.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding this situation, the university authority stated that in a democratic society \u201cpeople have the right to be conscientious objectors regarding a public action; but they do not have the right to forcefully, through coercive acts, impose a will on others, no matter how noble or valuable that motivation may be \u201d.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Post-surrender evaluation<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The executive vice president of CRUCH announced that the plenary session of rectors will meet after the second application of the PSU, on Wednesday, January 29, to evaluate the process. &quot;We want to act on the antecedents and facts verified on January 27 and 28 and obviously it is not lost on us that the next day we have to evaluate what the result was,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>For the surrender of 27 and 28, as reported by the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registry (DEMRE) of the U. de Chile, 111,080 applicants are qualified to take the PSU of Mathematics on January 27, from 09.00 hours; While that day, from 2.30 pm, 69,978 students will take the Language and Communication PSU.
