Executive Vice President of CRUCH, Aldo Valle, along with the alternate vice president, Diego Dur\u00e1n, held a working meeting with a French delegation, which was also attended by the French Ambassador to Chile.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The executive vice president of CRUCH, Rector Aldo Valle, and the alternate vice president, Rector Diego Dur\u00e1n, held a working meeting with a delegation from the French government along with members of the French Embassy in Chile, with the purpose of analyzing two cooperation and university exchange agreements between both countries.<\/p>\n

One of the initiatives seeks to establish an agreement for the recognition of diplomas, with a view to continuity of studies between Chile and France; the other is aimed at promoting the mobility of engineering students within a framework of reciprocity.<\/p>\n

Both the executive vice president and the alternate vice president of CRUCH expressed their support for these agreements between the Council of Rectors and French university institutions. The signing of these agreements would take place next June, during President Michelle Bachelet's visit to France.<\/p>\n

Projections of cooperation<\/h4>\n

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Marc Giacomini, Cooperation Counselor Patrick Bosdure, and Scientific and University Cooperation Attach\u00e9 Ingrid Chanefo, representing the French Embassy in Chile. The Chilean delegation included representatives from the French Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research\u2014Nicolas Marques and B\u00e9atrice Khaiat; Thierry Valentin, representing the Conference of Rectors of French Universities (CPU); Ronald Guillen, representing the Conference of Directors of University Technological Institutes (ADIUT); and Jean-Marie Panazol, Director of the National School of Education for Teacher and Education Professional Training (ESEN).<\/p>\n

The French Ambassador to Chile, Marc Giacomini, emphasized that \u201cthese scientific and academic exchanges between France and Chile are fundamental for young people in both countries.\u201d He also noted the need to strengthen existing mechanisms and use them effectively \u201cnot only for university agreements but also for the bilateral relationship.\u201d.<\/p>\n
