{"id":1325,"date":"2014-01-20T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-01-20T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-01-19T21:39:59","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T21:39:59","slug":"603c6d8077b09","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consejoderectores.cl\/en\/2014\/01\/20\/603c6d8077b09\/","title":{"rendered":"Council of Rectors in Arica: Rectors will ask for more information on the Reference Tariff formula"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>In its plenary session, held in Arica, the Council of Rectors unanimously decided to reject the new formula for calculating the Reference Fee promoted by the Ministry of Education and to request information about its application through the Transparency Law.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Council of Rectors met in plenary session in Arica, an event organized by the University of Tarapac\u00e1. At the meeting, the rectors unanimously rejected the Ministry of Education&#039;s decision to change the formula for calculating the Reference Tuition Fee, in order to incorporate factors related to the employability and salaries of their graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The executive vice president of the Council of Rectors, Juan Manuel Zolezzi, indicated that this rejection is due to the fact that &quot;there is an incorporation of market-type variables that does not correspond to what we are looking for in higher education training.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>He also indicated that CRUCH will request, through the Transparency Law, data from the Ministry on how the tuition fee has been calculated since its inception.
