The 271,000 students taking the PSU this year will have the opportunity today to familiarize themselves with their assigned room, reducing uncertainty before taking the test. The executive vice president of the Council of Rectors, along with the executive director of the Unified Admission System, Mar\u00eda Elena Gonz\u00e1lez, urged students to take the test calmly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A new university admissions process begins, and the more than 271,000 students registered to take the University Selection Tests (PSU) will be able to go to their assigned establishment as a venue for the room recognition process, the traditional step prior to taking the tests.<\/p>\n

With a visit to the Compa\u00f1\u00eda de Mar\u00eda school, the executive vice president of CRUCH, Juan Manuel Zolezzi, accompanied by the rector of the University of Chile, V\u00edctor P\u00e9rez, the Minister of Education, Carolina Schmidt, the Academic Vice-Rector of the University of Chile, Patricio Aceituno, the director of the Single Admission System (SUA), Mar\u00eda Elena Gonz\u00e1lez and the director of the Department of Educational Evaluation, Measurement and Registration (DEMRE) of the University of Chile, Eduardo Rodr\u00edguez, kicked off a new selection process.<\/p>\n

According to DEMRE data, this year there are 170 locations authorized to receive applicants, distributed across 562 premises, for a total of 7,966 testing rooms.<\/p>\n

These offices will employ 21,844 people, including delegates, supervisors, site managers, and examiners, among others.<\/p>\n

Among the interesting facts about this process, it's worth noting that the location with the highest number of registered participants is Maip\u00fa, with 10,090 people. The location with the fewest is Juan Fern\u00e1ndez, with 3 registered participants.<\/p>\n

According to the data breakdown by age, 17 people aged 70 or older registered to take the test. Among them, the oldest is an 83-year-old man. At the other end of the spectrum, 129 young people between the ages of 15 and 16 are registered.<\/p>\n

In addition, this year the PSU (University Selection Test) will be administered in 50 correctional facilities. A total of 1,937 people will participate.<\/p>\n

The executive vice president of CRUCH, Juan Manuel Zolezzi, urged applicants to take the test with complete peace of mind. \u201cWe are confident that, as in previous years, the process will proceed smoothly. We have all the necessary technical and human resources to ensure this, and we encourage everyone to arrive calmly at the testing centers.\u201d.<\/p>\n

The executive director of the Unified Admission System, Mar\u00eda Elena Gonz\u00e1lez, stated that \u201cbehind this test is the combined effort of thousands of people, each contributing their expertise to ensure everything runs smoothly,\u201d and therefore reiterated the call for applicants to focus on taking the test. She also thanked everyone who contributes to the success of this process and \u201cespecially the Chilean National Police (Carabineros de Chile) for their extraordinary contribution to security and the opportunity to administer the PSU simultaneously throughout the country.\u201d.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
