{"id":1303,"date":"2013-10-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-10-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-01-20T15:28:40","modified_gmt":"2022-01-20T15:28:40","slug":"603c6d8076be1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consejoderectores.cl\/en\/2013\/10\/28\/603c6d8076be1\/","title":{"rendered":"CRUCH delegation announced Chilean doctoral program offer in Peru"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>A group of seven universities from the Council of Rectors developed an academic mission to Peru, as part of the work plan of the postgraduate and international relations committees.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A delegation from the Council of Rectors visited several Peruvian universities in October to present the country&#039;s doctoral programs. This initiative aims to strengthen academic collaboration between Chilean and Peruvian universities, with the expectation that agreements facilitating the exchange of faculty and doctoral students will be established in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The visit was made possible through the collaboration of ProChile, the Agency for International Cooperation (AGCI), and especially the Chilean Ambassador to Lima, Fabio Vio Ugarte. This collaboration facilitated meetings with representatives from the Catholic University of Lima, the National University of Engineering, the National University of San Marcos, the Agrarian University of La Molina, the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University, and the Scientific University of the South. Regarding institutions focused on scientific and technological development and advanced human capital training, visits were made to the National Scholarship and Educational Loan Program (PRONABEC) and the National Council for Science and Technology (CONCYTEC) to understand policy orientations and explore potential avenues for collaboration with Peru.<\/p>\n<p>Through various presentations and exchanges, the great interest of Peruvian universities in cooperation with CRUCH universities was expressed, whether in postgraduate training programs, exchange of academics, student mobility, publications and debates on the development of higher education systems in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The implementation in Peru of a scholarship program \u2013 Pronabec \u2013 is currently designed according to international rankings; therefore, it is important to demonstrate that Chilean universities have accredited doctoral programs of excellence, and to seek a rapprochement between the Council of Rectors and the Peruvian institutionality in these matters.<\/p>\n<p>Key areas of interest include science and technology.
