{"id":1195,"date":"2012-09-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-09-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-01-23T18:33:45","modified_gmt":"2022-01-23T18:33:45","slug":"603c6d8071f2f","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consejoderectores.cl\/en\/2012\/09\/11\/603c6d8071f2f\/","title":{"rendered":"CRUCH discusses with Minister Beyer his displeasure with the universities&#039; financial reporting"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>The Executive Committee of the Council of Rectors was received by the Minister of Education Harald Beyer in order to express their displeasure with the way in which the Report of the Financial Statements of the universities was presented to the public and also to learn firsthand the critical position on the ranking that the MINEDUC has had in recent weeks, made explicit extensively through the media.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe agreed with the Minister that while we have different methodologies, all of them allow for exceptional cases and situations. The Ministry maintains its criticism of the method we proposed, which will be applied because it was approved by the CRUCH (Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities). We believe it contributes to greater equity, although the Ministry of Education insists that there are other, better methodologies. Ultimately, the issue remains as it stands; the Council of Rectors approved the Grade Ranking system, and it will be implemented.
