{"id":1087,"date":"2011-03-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-31T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-01-28T16:53:13","modified_gmt":"2022-01-28T16:53:13","slug":"603c6d806d15c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consejoderectores.cl\/en\/2011\/03\/31\/603c6d806d15c\/","title":{"rendered":"The Council of Rectors approved the protocol that regulates the international evaluation process of the PSU (University Selection Test)."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>Five foreign companies will be invited to participate in a bidding process to determine the entity that will conduct the evaluation of the University Selection Tests.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH) unanimously approved a protocol to regulate the international evaluation process for the University Selection Tests (PSU). As part of this decision, it was agreed, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), to invite five top-level international organizations to participate in this bidding process.<\/p>\n<div>The companies that were invited to participate are <em>QUOTE<\/em>, <em>Australian Council for Educational Research<\/em>, <em>ACT Research and Policy Reports<\/em>, <em>The Israeli National Institute for Testing and Evaluation<\/em>, and <em>Pearson<\/em>, who will present their proposals at the end of April.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00abWe opted for this selection of companies due to their high qualifications and international experience. Furthermore, the selected entity will have a technical committee, its technical counterpart, within this process, responsible for coordinating all the information provided by the Council of Rectors, as well as each of the universities, ensuring the confidentiality of the background information submitted,\u00bb explained the executive vice president of CRUCH, V\u00edctor P\u00e9rez Vera.<\/div>\n<h4>Meeting with students<\/h4>\n<div>Before the plenary session, the Council of Rectors met with spokespeople from the Confederation of Students of Chile (CONFECH) to share information on the issues being discussed within the framework of the announced higher education reform.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00ab&quot;The Government has indicated that this is the year of higher education, therefore, we hope that in the proposals made on educational issues, both the universities of the Council of Rectors and university students will be included,&quot; highlighted Juan Manuel Zolezzi, rector of the University of Santiago.<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cinco empresas extranjeras ser\u00e1n invitadas a participar en una licitaci\u00f3n para definir a la entidad que realizar\u00e1 la evaluaci\u00f3n de las Pruebas de Selecci\u00f3n Universitaria.
